We aim to delight our readers by presenting them with the best science writing and the best science books from around the world. Avgo (means “Egg” in Greek) Books is headed by George Zarkadakis. George has studied Systems Engineering at City University, London and has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. He has worked as a university researcher, a business consultant, a music producer, a travel writer and a science editor. He was the creator and Editor-in-Chief of Focus magazine, the largest popular science magazine in Greece and the writer of a very successful popular science television program (Eureka!). Apart from running Avgo Books, George is a regular contributor of science stories in various magazines and newspapers as well as an active science communicator and organizer of science communication events. He is also a novelist and a playwright.
